Over the last year(ish) LockNet’s Nationwide Repair & Support Department has seen a serious boost in staffing. If you read Katie’s post, LockNet’s Year in Review, you probably already know this, but if you missed it – 2013 was a record-breaking year for LockNet in more ways than one. We signed on a dozen new customers and our number of service calls quickly became too much for the TSRs to handle.

With all these new faces coming in, it seems like the perfect time to implement something Katie and I have been talking about for a few months. A monthly employee spotlight to get to know all these new folks. After we’ve made our way through all the new faces, we can move onto the oldies – they have some LockNet stories, and stories of their coworkers that will split your sides.

LockBytes First New Employee Spotlight

After a long-time employee left we were on the search for a new Customer Service Assistant to help the TSRs balance all those new service calls and the plethora of paperwork that accompanies them. Enter Kris Vaselopolus, affectionately referred to as “Velociraptor” to a handful of comedic LockNet employees that have a hard time with his last name.

Maybe you remember him from the holiday blog a few weeks ago and the Christmas Outfit contest.Remember the guy in the Grinch pajamas? His humor definitely comes in handy when you get nicknamed “Velociraptor.”

I wanted these employee spotlights to be entertainingly useful, so to get them started in the right direction I came up with a rather entertaining “Picking Your Brain for the Greater Good” new employee questionnaire. True to self, Kris made writing this less than easy with answers like these:

What do you think – is he seriously cranking up Miley Cyrus on a bad day? It’s hard to know for sure, but I certainly hope so.
