This allows the hardware to take even the hardest of beatings when it comes to rain and snowstorms and still hold up against rust.

Weatherized exit devices are also important considerations based on regional needs. For example, they are necessary for humid areas. Florida and other southern states are prone to very high humidity and if you’ve ever been to any amusement park in the south, it’s not uncommon to spot some rust on outdoor metal.
