I hope everyone is close to falling into a candy coma after a successful night of trick-or-treating on Tuesday.
LockNet celebrated a little early last week and had all of the LockNet families out with their little ghouls and goblins for the first ever LockNet Trunk-or-Treat. (And, no, that’s not a typo. I meant to write “trunk.”)
Let me explain what trunk-or-treating is, because apparently it’s either not very mainstream or it’s a southern thing.
Trunk-or-treating is the same as going trick-or-treating but instead of going house to house, you take your children to the parking holding the event. They go from car trunk to car trunk where people hand out candy by their cars.
This year LockNet decided to get in on the action.
LockNet Trunk or Treat, Spooky Movies, and Food: What More Do You Need?
It wouldn’t be a part at LockNet if there wasn’t hordes of food and this party did not disappoint. We had hot dogs over an open fire, s’mores, and side dishes galore. The line for food was out the door!
For the little ones, there was, of course, the trunk-or-treating where they loaded up on sugary snacks. We also had the Halloween classic “Hocus Pocus” on an outdoor movie screen for people to enjoy as their kids went from car to car.
Trunk Decorating Contest
We all realize a trunk of a car is a very plain jane space, and Halloween is not a plain jane holiday.
In order to spice things up and make it little spookier for the kiddos, we held a trunk decorating contest.
This event was very clear proof that Locknet team members are the most creative people around.!
Decorating a car trunk is not an easy task but the folks here at LockNet went all out.
The winning trunk by Andrew Rajchel was a very appropriate Harry Potter themed trunk. Andrew, himself, is a HUGE Harry Potter fan so he had plenty of things to add to his trunk to make the kids think they may have taken the Hogwarts Express and ended up at Hogwarts.
Another Great Example of LockNet Culture
I’m sure I sound like a broken record with my constant praise of LockNet culture, but I can’t help it. I’ve never worked at a more family-oriented place that truly allows its employees to incorporate their family lifestyles into their careers.
Speaking of careers, are you looking for a new one? Are you interested in joining the LockNet team? We’d love to hear from you! You can find our job board here.
