Thanks to our partnership with our main hardware supplier, ASSA Abloy, we are well-versed in the newest technologies while they are still in the testing phases, and we’re one of the first to know when it’s available to the public. Part of the ongoing battle of staying up to date is continuing education. ASSA took this to the next level by bringing us their mobile showroom, where they toured individual employees and department groups to introduce, educate, and brainstorm the newest hardware innovations of the ASSA brand.
These innovations included the Aperio wireless lock technology, Securitron mag locks, exit devices, closers, Medeco key systems and ecyliners, HES electric strikes, and an array of Arrow products. While we’ve all looked at pictures, cut sheets, and catalog pages, it was an exciting morning to be able to get our hands on the products we’ve been ogling.
So, how are these innovations supposed to save YOU money? The Securitron PowerJump ICPT negates the need of installing power transfer hinges and coring the door. A technician installs the PowerJump into the latch side, hinge side, top, or bottom of the door and “jump” power to the door. Just like magic – there’s no more wires!
